Research Projects

From time to time, we are asked to undertake a short HPLC-based research project. The reason is because we have the expertise and experience to be able to implement the project quickly, the ability to amend a method as required as requirements change, we have lots of spare equipment so can always fit it in, and we already have most of the columns etc which might be required. So the cost of us doing the work, in terms of time and money, is almost always less than a customer doing the work themselves.

We also have excellent contacts at local universities, which allows us to plug into some of the best academic brains in the country, and have access to a much wider range of equipment and library resources than we have in house.

Sometimes a project is too long for us to undertake economically here. However we receive dozens of requests a year from students wishing to undertake a PhD project. If the research project you have can be fitted in as a PhD project or part of a bigger project, we may be able to coordinate that with students that we already are in contact with, or possibly as a new project. Bear in mind that PhD projects last from 3-5 years, and publication of the results is not possible prior to the publication of the PhD. However if you funded that part of the project, you would have the rights to to results, and to any intellectual property associated with it.

These arrangements tend to be with existing customers, where we are already involved with the analyses carried out in their labs. However, we are always pleased to hear from new customers, and you can be based anywhere in the world so long as you can communicate with us in English or possibly German. If you think we may be able to help, lets talk, and explore the possibilities.
